![]() Thanks for stopping by! I don't have any books for sale yet, but if you're interested in what I write here's a little bit about my young adult novel, Player. Carmen's goals for her senior year were simple: become the
storyteller for her gaming group, get into Yale, and shrink her size-ten Latin
booty. Okay, and maybe get her crush, Josh, to notice her. She never expected
she’d find out her long-gone Dad still paid the mortgage for her house, or that
he’d use that as leverage to temporarily move in his girlfriend and her son. Oh
yeah, or that that son would be Josh. Josh and Carmen grow closer under the awkward, and secret,
new living arrangements. He’s definitely flirting with her but she can’t figure
out why—he already has the perfect girlfriend. One night he admits he likes her
and before she knows what she’s doing she kisses him. Terrified she’s ruined everything they’d started she flees…
but she can only escape as far as her room. Josh says he isn’t sorry they
kissed but can’t break up with his girlfriend yet either. Carmen tries to move
on, but being under the same roof makes her growing feelings for him hard to
deny. From finding his girlfriend’s weakness so he’ll leave her, to losing the
weight she fears holds her back, Carmen will utilize all of her gamer skills to
find a way to make Josh hers. Game on. ![]() Growing up with a mother who taught English as well as four older sisters* provided me with early exposure to the world of fiction. (*Hint: the brown cows don't really give chocolate milk.) In high school I tried writing my own "novel" with much encouragement from my best friend, but I didn't get serious about writing until years later. Now I live in south Florida with my amazing husband and still write about characters in the world of high school. Feel free to contact me. Thanks for visiting my site! Wendy |
